About

Designed & built in collaboration with RAW Architecture Workshop over a period of 2 years, utilising advanced fibre reinforced concrete mixes and environmentally friendly recycled Peri formwork systems, Concrete House is 260 square metres of unadulterated exposed raw concrete internally and externally.

This bold and globally unique concrete structure hunkers down within the East Sussex countryside.

The building mass is slowly being reclaimed by nature and becoming a part of landscape, fully rooted within context. The building is often described as LA modernist or Brazilian villa with tropical planting and out door swimming pool to add to this exotic feel.

Internal spaces use the interplay of light from large openings to southern elevations and roof to create shadow and light that draw the visitor on a journey through the space. Varying floor and soffit levels define each of the seven blocks and zones.

All walls, ceilings and floors, internally and externally, are exposed fare faced concrete. Interior designed is inspired by our personal collection of mid century modern and vintage furniture curated and sourced over many years.

After many years working in and around ‘production’, we feel as owners that we can offer clients not just a striking and unique space to work in but also the details needed to make working here as stress free an experience as possible.
